Actor Junior NTR‘s 25th Telugu film, tentatively titled NTR 25, will go on floors here on Monday.

The film is going on floors after months of delay.

“Touchdown London! Really excited to start #ntr25 tomorrow. Looking forward to working with a new team, new people! #learning #movies #work (sic),” actress Rakul Preet Singh, who plays the female lead in the movie, posted on her Twitter page on Sunday.

To be directed by Sukumar, the film is said to be a family drama about the relationship between a father and his son.

Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad will be seen essaying the father’s role while NTR will play his son.

Nearly 80 percent of the film will be shot in and around Britain, while some key scenes will also be shot in Australia.

The film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad, is produced by BVSN Prasad.

The Temper actor has been in London shooting tirelessly for the upcoming flick

Three superstars are all set for an epic box office clash at the start of next year

One of the best things about festivals for a movie buff is the release of some big films, which try to cash in on the holiday mood of masses. And it becomes extremely exciting when big stars collide at the box office, trying to woo the audience with their respective films.

Mark your calendars for Sankranti 2016, as three big star vehicles are ready to lock horns. Pawan Kalyan’s sequel to Gabbar Singh, titled Sardaar Gabbar Singh is slated to release on Sankranti next year. Jr NTR’s Nannaku Prematho is also said to be releasing around the same time and so is Balakrishna’s 99th film Dictator, which makes for an interesting box office clash .

Jr NTR is busy wrapping up Nannaku Prematho in London, directed by Sukumar. Rakul Preet Singh plays his lady love in the film. Sardaar Gabbar Singh, after several delays in shoot due to Power Star’s political commitments, has gone on floors recently. Just few days, Sardaar’s first look made quite some noise in social media. Kajal Aggarwal is all set to romance Pawan Kalyan onscreen in the film. Balayya’s Dictator directed by Sriwass marks Balakrishna’s 99th film and it also stars Anjali and Sonal Chauhan.

Rumour has it that producers of Srimanthudu are keen on signing Jr NTR for their next film directed by Koratala Siva

After two back to back duds at box office, Srimanthudu not only came as a huge respite to Mahesh Babu but also has went on to become the biggest hit of his career.

While fans and critics are raving the film and Mahesh Babu’s performance, director Koratala Siva has silently started working on his next venture. Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Srimanthudu, have once again collaborated with Koratala Siva for their next project. “We’re planning to do another film with Siva. It will go on floors by this year end. We haven’t finalised on the cast yet,” Naveen Yerneni, one of the producers of the banner.

But a little birdie tells us that both the director and the production house is keen on roping in Jr NTR for their next film. This news will surely bring a lot of joy for Jr NTR fans. The Temper actor is currently busy with his Sankranti 2016 release titled Nannaku Prematho, post which he might work on Koratala Siva’s untitled project. Rumour has it that two superstars might lock horns in April next year

The year 2016 beckons us with loads of big releases line up. While Jr NTR and Pawan Kalyan seem to be fighting at big screens during Sankranti, an another epic clash awaits us during Tamil New Year. 

Rumour has it that Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kabali may take on Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam at box office during April 2016. A little birdie tells us that Rajini’s much talked about gangster flick might release on Tamil New Year ie April 14, 2016. Also, we hear that Mahesh Babu’s film with Srikanth Addala is slated to release on April 8. Even though there is a week’s difference between the release of these two big films, fans are predicting an epic clash as both Rajinikanth and Mahesh Babu have humungous fan following in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

While Kabali is a gangster flick, Brahmotsavam is said to be a family drama. While it is too early to predict if this clash between Rajini and Mahesh will happen for sure, considering the buzz around these films, makers might just try and avoid an epic box office battle between these two stars.

This teaser of Nannaku Prematho is like a Vijaya Dasami treat for Jr NTR Fans. From start to finish, Jr NTR’s unmatched style and quirky dance moves looms large on the teaser. Devi Sri Prasad’s score is catchy as the teaser seems to be cut out from a song in the film. Though Rakul is no where to be seen, the lyrics ” I am gonna follow you” suggest that Jr NTR may been after our heroine, riding coolly on a hover board. Jr NTR looks sauve with his new hairdo and amazingly different style of beard.  We also get to see the Temper star show off his dance moves.

The renowned actor breathed his last yesterday

While the entire nation celebrated Shah Rukh Khan‘s 50th birthday, a veteran actor in Tollywood breathed his last yesterday. Comic actor Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao passed away last night succumbing to various illness. The 69 year old actor was undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad for last one and half years. Before turning into an actor in films, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao was a renowned theatre artist. The late actor has over 1000 plays to his name. He made his debut in 2002 in Aunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, after director Vamsi Krishna spotted his talent from theatre plays. The veteran comedian was part of many big budget films and has also shared screen with many Telugu superstars like Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu.

Dongaramudu And Party, Simhadri, Sathyam, Evadi Gola Vadide, Kanchana Mala Cable TV, Rakhi and Sainikudu are few of his popular films from his decade long filmi career. He was last seen in  Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Charitra, which released in 2014.

The film releases on Pongal next year

After the success of his last film Temper, Jr NTR has had no other releases this year. But on Pongal 2016, Jr NTR’s Nannaku Prematho is all set to hit the big screen. 

Jr NTR’s look from the film has been highly appreciated and has already become a rage among the masses. His cool and hep hairdo, and long, pointed beard has caught the attention of fans all over the world. After releasing the teaser on Dussehra, the second look has been unveiled on the day of Diwali and it has been confirmed that Nannaku Prematho will release on Sankranti 2016. Jr NTR’s next film, Nannaku Prematho, is releasing on Sankranthi 2016. The film directed by Sukumar has been making news ever since the first look of Jr NTR was leaked from the film. With his pointed beard and mo-hawk hairstyle, Jr NTR has got the fans go gaga over his new look.

The film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Jagapathi Babu, was predominantly shot in London. Devi Sri Prasad, who gave superhit music for Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, has given music for Nannaku Prematho. The trailer of the film has been finally  launched   and this is what I thought about it:

After playing a bad cop with raging temper in Puri Jagannadh in Temper, Jr NTR is back with a bang playing a suave London based businessman, oozing style in  every frame. The trailer is quite interesting as the makers show us both emotional and cold side of Jr NTR. Rakul Preet Singh is hardly there in the trailer and there is absolutely no focus on romantic angle between them. Jagapathi Babu plays villain but doesn’t seems to have a very powerful character. Jr NTR aces in stylish fighting but it is his emotional side towards his father that steals the show. There is a sequence in the trailer where it looks like Jr NTR is pulling of a Leonardo Di Caprio from The Wolf of Wall Street. The background score by DSP is good and aptly aids the trailer. Overall, Nannaku Prematho trailer makes for a refreshing watch!

The Powerstar files a complaint on the eve of the movie’s release

Jr NTR starrer Nannaku Prematho is one of the highly anticipated films this year. It is also Tollywood’s first major movie that will be released this year. But the release may now become a problem due to a new and disturbing development. The action family drama is now in a bit of trouble and the Telugu star Pawan Kalyan is responsible for it.

The Powerstar has filed a complaint against the movie’s producer BVSN Prasad. Whole trouble stems from the time when Pawan and the producer worked together for the actor’s film Attharintiki Daredi back in 2013. At the time of the release of the movie, a piracy issue sprung up which put the producer in trouble. The actor had magnanimously given 2 crores from his pay to help cover the losses. Now, apparently Prasad had promised to return the money to the actor when his next movie was confirmed. Fortunately, Attharintiki Daredi was a blockbuster and earned chock full of money, but strangely the money issue between the two parties was not cleared. Pawan was then promised that he shall receive his remuneration before the release of Nannaku Prematho. But when the release date loomed closer and the bargain remained unfulfilled, the Powerstar was finally forced to file a complaint against the producer on the eve of the movie’s release. The actor has lodged an official complaint at the Producer’s Council and the Movie Artists Association demanding justice.

What remains to be seen is what this troublesome news means for Jr NTR and his movie. The industry waits with bated breath for any updates about the movie’s release.

In India, since its release on Wednesday, the film has raked in over Rs.30 crore.

Actor Jr. NTR-starrer Telugu drama “Nannaku Prematho”, an emotional drama between a father and son, has entered the $1 million club in the US in just three days since its release.
“The film has crossed the $1 million collection milestone at the US box office. This is the first film of the year to reach there in such a short span of time,” read a statement from CineGalaxy Inc, the overseas distributor of the film.

Directed by Sukumar, the film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad in important roles.

In India, since its release on Wednesday, the film has raked in over Rs.30 crore.

“It’s most likely expected to collect over Rs.50 crore by the weekend. Despite mixed reviews, the film has managed to impress film goers and NTR’s fans too,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

The film is produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad and distributed by Reliance Entertainment.

The Megastar will be returning to silver screen after eight years

Tollywood is quite competitive now, with a lot of actors sharing an almost equal fan base and popularity like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR etc. But there was a time not long ago when Tollywood was a monopoly of one single actor, Chiranjeevi. In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that he achieved an almost god like status. But due to circumstances, the Megastar has been away from the big screen for quite a long time. His was last featured in Shankar Dada Zindabad way back in 2007. And now it looks like he is finally coming back.

The actor was spotted at a wedding ceremony in Hyderabad and was looking quite dapper with his handlebar moustache. He was garbed in a simple shirt and jeans but still managed to catch everyone’s eye. However, when he was questioned about his new look, he revealed that it wasn’t just a style statement. Chiru confessed that the new look is for his character in an upcoming movie! “I have been preparing up to get my look right for the Kaththi remake for the last couple of months. This mustache is part of my new look.The pre-production work of the film are in the final stages. If everything goes to plan, we will start shooting from the end of next month,” the actor was quoted saying.

Looks like the Megastar is coming back with a bang with the Telugu remake of the Kollywood movie Kaththi, which starred Vijay. This ambitious project will be directed by VV Vinayak. It is indeed going to be a phenomenal year for the Telugu film industry.

The upcoming Telugu action movie will also have a Mollywood baddie

Young Tiger Jr NTR is on cloud nine because of his super hit film Nannaku Prematho. His next project is with Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva, who is basking in the glory of his last film. To add to the delight of fans, the successful actor and director will be teaming up with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. And finally, after a lot of speculations, the two female leads and the villain have finally been cast.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen are set to play opposite Jr NTR in Janatha Garage. It seems that Samantha is officially on board whereas Nithya Menen is almost certain. The Mollywood actress is yet to sign the contract. Supposedly, Mohanlal will be playing the Young Tiger’s uncle in the flick. Other than the female leads, the role of the antagonist has also been finalized. Malayalam actor Unni Mukudan will be facing off against Jr NTR. Mukundan made his debut in Tamil film but has shifted to doing Mollywood films ever since. The actor is super excited about working with an industry giant like Mohanlal whom he holds in great respect. He is also equally thrilled about entering Tollywood and working with the Nannaku Preamtho star.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh has acted in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi film industries. The young actress received great praise for her portrayal of Divyanka in Jr NTR starrer Nannaku Prematho. After tasting an early success this year, she is all geared up to do an even more amazing film.

Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan. The Kollywood movie which starred Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara and Arvind Swamy received rave reviews especially for the face off between Ravi and Arvind. Actress Nayanthara received overwhelmingly positive reviews for her character Mahima. Now the Rakul Preet will be playing that crucial role in the Tollywood remake. She has been paired opposite actor Ram Charan Teja, who will be playing the role of Jayam Ravi.

When the actress was asked about the news, she informed an entertainment website that,” I’m doing the film, although am yet to officially sign on the dotted line. The shooting will commence soon, and I will join the crew by March or April.”

Being an avid admirer of Nayanthara’s work, Rakul Preet feels that it will be quite challenging to keep up to her standards. The Nannaku Prematho actress considers Nayan as a really classy actress and said that she will be very happy if she could manage to pull off the bold and enthralling role.

Interestingly, this will be second time that Ram Charan and Rakul Preet will be sharing the screen after the 2015 movie Bruce Lee. We really look forward to see the young actress in action.
